Overview
This is a hands-on, physically active role supporting maintenance and operations across multiple storerooms in a manufacturing environment.
You will be responsible for managing parts inventory, operating equipment, organizing materials, and ensuring maintenance teams have what they need to keep the plant running.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage and organize inventory across multiple storerooms
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts and materials
- Operate forklift and other equipment to move and store inventory
- Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions in the system
- Perform cycle counts and track inventory usage trends
- Support maintenance and engineering teams with parts and equipment
- Follow up with vendors on orders and deliveries
- Identify shortages, recommend alternatives, and help prevent downtime
- Maintain clean, organized, and efficient storage areas
- Assist with cost control and inventory optimization efforts
What This Job Requires
- Being on your feet, moving throughout the plant for most of the shift
- Lifting, carrying, and organizing materials (up to 50 lbs regularly)
- Working both physically and mentally — this role requires organization, accuracy, and problem-solving
- Operating equipment safely and efficiently
- Balancing hands-on work with system tracking and documentation
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or maintenance support environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced setting
- Comfortable using computers for inventory tracking and documentation
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Mechanical or parts familiarity is a strong plus
- Forklift experience preferred
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in inventory, storeroom, or industrial environment
- Ability to learn inventory systems and maintenance software
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Typical shifts range from 8–12 hours
