ST Tissue Franklin VA manufacturing facility

We are seeking applicants with an interest in working in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Prior manufacturing experience is a plus. Candidates will need to possess mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.

Employees will function in a lean, team based environment. Additionally, those hired must be willing to do work outside of their normal job duties to help achieve safety, quality and productivity goals.

Must be willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts including holidays and weekends.

Shipping Clerk

Duties include:
• Monitoring consistent adherence to policies and procedures and the delivery of excellent customer service to customers, vendors, and associates within ST Tissue
• Coordinating with paper brokers and freight companies the transportation of finished goods
• Processing all necessary paperwork connected to transport, including providing administrative support to other departments, performing necessary accounting transactions, working with Microsoft Word and Excel and other internal computer programs, maintaining files
• Receiving deliveries of supplies, parts, etc.
Qualifications:
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to learn other programs
• Self-motivation and ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills

Converting Technician

Duties include:
• Working in a team environment to optimize the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of an industrial roll/towel converting machine
• Contributing to team troubleshooting for equipment and operations
• Taking an active part in meeting business measures including quality management, waste reduction, machine productivity, schedule compliance, shipments, and cost control
• Monitoring consistent adherence to policies and procedures and current standards; developing new standards and process improvements
Qualifications:
• Self-motivation and ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Experience in operating and troubleshooting equipment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer literacy: Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to learn other programs
• Knowledge of tissue converting process a plus
