As part of its turnaround plan, since acquiring the mill almost four years ago, ST Paper focused on improving the overall environmental footprint of the mill as part of its "Green" initiative. To that end, the Company spent significant capital as it:- Transformed mill's fiber input process so that it is capable of using 100% recycled fiber,
- Worked with Focus on Energy to install various energy efficient motors and equipment in the mill
- Installed a wood fired boiler to generate all of its steam
